Before you start.
Which assistants can I use?
Claude, Cursor, Codex and Claude Code have setup routes. ChatGPT can use a custom MCP connection where your account offers developer mode; the directory listing is submitted and review is pending. Grok connection testing is pending. Any chat can use the free copy/paste workflow.
Is it free? What happened to €9?
It is free for launch: profile, assistant connection, application tracking, editing and PDF export. The former €9 monthly offer paid for built-in AI credits. Built-in AI is currently switched off and that offer is unavailable. You do not need CV Tool credits for your connected assistant; its own plan limits apply. Any future paid offer will have a clear price before you buy.
Where is my data stored? Can I use Google Drive?
Your career profile, application text and history stay in your CV Tool account. Uploaded files use private account storage: 25 MB total, 10 MB per file. Connect your own Google Drive in Account → Data storage for file storage and generated packs. Drive does not move the career record out of CV Tool. A merged pack through the connector currently needs Drive; individual CV/letter PDFs and browser export do not. You can export your profile or delete your account.
How good are the letters?
Your assistant writes from the job posting and your confirmed evidence. Stored writing preferences and the application-market guidance help it stay specific. Quality depends on your source material and assistant: read the draft, check its claims and adjust its voice before sending. No interview or hiring outcome is promised.
How do I track and edit applications?
Each saved application keeps its posting, CV, letter, versions and status. Ask your connected assistant to revise a draft, or edit it directly in the browser. Record sends and replies on the board. Without a connected assistant, the copy/paste route and manual editing remain available; automatic writing inside the app is currently unavailable.
How does it help my assistant? Can I see it work?
The connection gives your assistant a reusable career record, saved applications, document tools and workflow guidance. It saves work into the same account you open in the browser, so you can inspect and edit it. Try the example above. The assistant works when you ask it; connecting does not start an autonomous job search.
